Change

the phrase "the hare in winter" etched into window glass with trees behind

On the subject of moving home we often get asked about our name : the hare in winter.

Both as a couple and individuality we have always been drawn to making. And just as the hare changes colour in the winter, what we make, the colours and styles have always changed to match where we are at the time, the weather, the seasons and all that surrounds us.

The phrase itself come from a poem by Edinburgh poet Andrew Greig and in full the line is :

"Now we live like the hare in Winter"

Our little house logo is based upon the cottage where Nicola grew up, and reflects us as a Cottage Industry.

Inspiration, coming as it does from deep within is so difficult to describe but our name we think feels well . . . just right.
