little cherry bowl

A little bowl turned from locally sourced Cherry with many uses from snacks and dips to jewellery or simply display.
I turn these on a foot powered Pole Lathe in the same way that all bowls were at one time made, giving a beautiful tactile texture. By using green timber, particularly in Cherry, as the bowl dries the rim warps slightly producing this interesting form.
Finished in Organic Walnut Oil and my own food safe Beeswax and Coconut Oil polish, simply hand wash and dry after use and occasionally re-oil with a foodsafe oil if your bowl looks a little dry.
